Once the crowds have gone, winter is a great time to enjoy a holiday out of season in Greater Yarmouth.
Wrap up warm as autumn turns to winter when the days are shorter and the nights are drawing in, and enjoy the quieter side of Greater Yarmouth. There’s still plenty to keep you entertained, huge deserted beaches and lots of great food and drink options to discover over a long weekend or short break to the area.
Once the kids are grown up it’s easy to get away on holiday outside of term time and enjoy a short break in Greater Yarmouth. In this film, Mike and Sally pack in loads of fun activities during their short break starting with a visit to Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens near Filby, and a pottery lesson at Greater Yarmouth Potteries and Smoke House, rounding off with afternoon tea at The Boat House in Ormesby. A ten-pin bowling challenge at Wellington Pier Bowling Alley gets another day underway, along with discovering fascinating marine life at Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre, exploring the area’s maritime heritage at the Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life. No trip to the seaside, whatever the time of year would be complete without eating fresh doughnuts on the front, and wrapping up warm for stroll on Central Beach. A performance at St. George’s Theatre is followed by a delicious dinner at the King’s Arms in Fleggburgh before a well-deserved glass of wine in front of a roaring fire.
