First stop on our whirlwind tour of London is Madam Tussauds. Madam Tussauds is just a short walk away from Baker Street station, so why not stop off for a quick tour of the place that Sherlock Holmes’ called home. Once in Madam Tussauds, you can enjoy over 300 figures at one of the largest wax attractions in the world. Where else can you stand next to George Clooney and Colin Firth or get your picture taken with the Queen?
The Sealife London Aquarium is the next stop on our Merlin adventure. Covering 3 floors, each with a different theme, you can see more than 500 species of sea creature, from colourful clown fish to jellyfish and Cuban crocodiles. There is plenty of for to see to keep all of the family entertained and specialist education centres where you can sharpen your marine knowledge. There is also a special penguin centre, where you can join the cute creatures at feeding time and find out all about how Sealife is supporting conservation around the world.
After a quick stop for lunch, it is time for a trip to one of London’s best loved attractions, The London Dungeon. The attraction has recently moved to a new 20 million home in the vaults of the City Hall. The Dungeon hosts 18 live theatrical shows, featuring creepy characters from the past and super scary special effects to give the audience a few thrills and spills. There are no holds barred when it comes to giving tourists an experience of a lifetime and you are sure to be talking about your trip to The Dungeon for years to come.
To finish off your day and to take things at an altogether slower pace, head to the Southbank, for a ride on the EDF London Eye. At 135m high, The London Eye is one of the city’s most recognisable attractions. You can take a standard ride or you can book a private capsule, where you can enjoy a glass of champagne or a spot of afternoon tea. Once you have finished your ride on the wheel, you can take a leisurely stroll along the Southbank and sit in one of the riverside cafe, with a chilled glass of wine.
