Jersey, only 14 miles from the Normandy coast, is the largest of Britain’s channel islands and has the best sunshine record in the UK. The capital, St Helier is great for shops with lots of local produce as well as the central market which includes great food stalls and places to grab a bite.

Any trip to Jersey would not be complete without sampling some of the great produce from the island such as crab, Jersey potatoes or any of the famous dairy products.

Durrel wildlife park located in the parish of Trinity is a park dedicated to endangered species where Gorillas get the chance to breed in a natural habitat.

Jersey was the only part of the British Isles that was occupied by the Germans during the second world war and the War tunnels is a museum dedicated to remembering the war time history.

Getting around the island is easy and one of the best ways is by bicycle which you can hire from numerous locations around Jersey.
