It’s a strange fact that sea air always seems to make you feel hungry, and in Greater Yarmouth you’re never more than 9 miles away from the coast, surely the perfect excuse to eat, drink and be merry …
Residents and friends of Trafalgar Road, a pretty street of friendly B&Bs in the heart of Great Yarmouth, all decorated with glorious hanging baskets full of flowers of all colour come together for a summer street party, catered for by chefs at nearby restaurants. As people gather, chefs make their final preparations in restaurant kitchens, using local Norfolk or Suffolk produce wherever possible, then serve their delicious dishes to the excited group.
From fish dishes to lobster salads, colourful cosmopolitan dishes, traditional succulent fish and chips then scones for afternoon tea, with a triumphant cake finale, a street party has never been so spectacularly catered. A little of what you fancy does you good.
Featured in this short film: Trafalgar Road B&B proprietors and friends, food and drink from Café Cru at The Imperial, The Seafood Restaurant, Quayside Plaza, Fish ‘n’ Grill, HMS Hinchinbrook, Sara’s tearooms and Kirsty’s Cakery.
